Miss Ellis County and Ellis County's Outstanding Teen Scrapbook Memories 2006

It's once again time for our Pre-Memorial Day Show at the Dallas VA Hospital with several if the Miss and Teen Texas titleholders. This is our 16^th year to do the show for the veterans at the hospital.

Molly greets one of the early arriving veterans who has come to watch the show today.

Cassidy and Faith also get to speak with the same veteran before the show.

One of the Marine Veteran’s who has come to watch the show gives Cassidy a little kiss on her hand to welcome her to the Dallas VA Hospital.

All of the visiting titleholders present want to get their picture made with this special Marine today.

The Honor Guard presents the Colors as the Pre-Memorial Day Show begins at the Dallas VA Hospital.

Cristie Kibler opens the show by singing “How Great Thou Art” for the audience.

Taylor Grubb was honored to do the “Pledge of Allegiance”

And everybody there was proud to be an American.

Miss Duncanville, Cassidy Arend sang “Feeling Good” as her first selection for the Veterans in the audience.

For her second song Cassidy sang “Up A Lazy River” for everybody.

These signs that had been signed by hundreds of people welcomed our Veterans back home were all around the VA Hospital.

Mr. Ray Landin from the State Fair of Texas spoke to the Veterans about how the State Fair continues to support the Texas Viet Nam Wall at Fair Park.

Adrianna Nelson, Miss Plano entertained the Veterans with “Summer Time” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.

Cristy Kibler, Miss Metroplex gets to entertain the Veterans a second time with “American Trilogy” and “Where The Boys Are”.

Miss Texas, Molly Hazlett tells the audience what “Memorial Day” means to her personally.

Miss South Plains, Allison Church explains the meaning of the 13 folds of the American Flag and also how “Taps” came to be and why it is used today at military funerals.

Up next to entertain the Veterans is Teen Arlington, Nicholle Larson who sang “Traveling Soldier” and “God Bless America”.
