Miss Ellis County and Ellis County's Outstanding Teen Scrapbook Memories 2006

Nicholle Larson, Teen Arlington, Taylor Grubb, Miss Dallas County, and Sydney Capello, Teen Duncanville were privileged to assist with all the activities at this event.

“Global Youth Service Day” is part of the “America’s Promise Alliance”.

Sydney, Taylor, and Nicholle with Mr. Jim Walther who is the Chairman of the Board for the Arlington Alliance for Youth.

All three titleholders are interviewed by Arlington City Councilwoman, Lana Wolff for a special showing on one of the Arlington cable TV stations later this year.

Each titleholder tells Councilwoman Wolff a little something about the Miss Texas System and their individual platforms.

During the afternoon, Sydney, Nicholle and Taylor mingle with all the students that were at the event and encouraged them stay in school and also told them about being a participant in the Teen or Miss Texas programs.

After we take the pictures with today’s winners, all the young gentlemen start coming over to have their picture made with the titleholders.

The Chairman of the Board for the Board for the Arlington Alliance for Youth, Jim Walther thanks all the titleholders for coming to help with today’s event.

The Arlington ISD Superintendent, Hector Montenegro introduces himself to Sydney, Nicholle, and Taylor after the presentation of all the awards.

We also get to take a group picture with Mr. Montenegro.

Sydney discusses her platform issues with Mr. Montenegro as did Nicholle and Taylor. At the conclusion of their group discussion we all head for home after a GREAT day in Arlington.
