On Friday, October 12,
2007 we get another beautiful group of titleholders
for the State Fair parade. Pictures in front of the
Lion King float are (l to r) Kristen Garcia ~ Teen
Hunt County 2007, Lana Thomas ~ Miss Ellis County
2008, and Jennifer Fiedler ~ Teen Ellis County 2008. |

As we all walk up to the parade
staging area we place Kristen, Lana, and Jennifer by one of
the fountains in the fair grounds for a quick picture. |
 |
|
After our pictures at the
fountain Jennifer, Lana and Kristen are surrounded by
several little girls wanting to meet all the Princesses. |
 |
|
As you can see, being a Princess
is something very special. |
 |
|
Just like our group of
titleholders from last night, Jennifer, Lana and Kristen all
get their picture made with some of the members of the
Marine Band out of Washington D. C. Hummm, there's only
one Marine that is taller than Jennifer. |
 |
|
The Corvette was already
assigned to another VIP tonight so we put Lana and
Jennifer on the "Coronation Float" for tonight's parade. |
 |
|
While Lana's mother, Sandra
is taking a quick picture of Lana and Jennifer on their
float, she is about to be surprised by one of the
roaming clowns in the parade. |
 |
|
The Marine Band leads the
parade through the fair grounds just as they do every
evening. |
 |
|
Like all the other nights, I
make a "bee line" from the starting point of the parade
around to "Big Tex" in time to catch Lana, Jennifer and
Kristen in the parade. |
 |
|
And Kristen is not too far
behind Lana and Jennifer on one of the Kitchen Craft
floats. |
 |
|
We certainly have spent a
lot of time in this staging area tent the last few days.
This is where we meet the titleholders every day and
where they store all the floats and vehicles for the
parade. |
 |
|
Lana and Jennifer get a
helping hand getting down off their float after the
parade is over. |
 |
|
And Kristen gets a ride back
to the staging tent in one of the golf carts. Thanks for
another great evening ladies. We appreciate all of you
coming tonight. |
