Miss Ellis County and Ellis County's Outstanding Teen Scrapbook Memories 2006

It’s time for the annual DIFFA Jacket auction at the Dallas Hilton Anatole Hotel and Cassidy, Faith and Austen are among the first titleholders/volunteers to arrive at this gala event to raise money for AIDS research.

Keith Davenport and Ron Carter are also two volunteers that give a huge amount of time every year to make this event a huge success.

The first of the guest start to arrive and as you can see, there is no limit to the imagination when it comes to selecting the attire to be worn to this event tonight.

Before all our beautiful ladies start to work tonight we get a little group picture in the lobby. Remember what I was saying earlier about the imagination having no limits on what was worn tonight… I rest my case…

Back in the preparation area the titleholders get a quick dinner break while the show gets ready to start. One of the volunteers that helps dress everybody is seeing if the Miss Texas contestants “measure up” and finds out that they do.

LaDacher Jackson, Mss Ellis County 2004 and Miss Duncanville 2005 with Cassidy back stage.

LaDacher is a fashion designer by trade and is shown here with her design that she made and donated to this year’s event.

Most of the titleholders wanted to come in after dinner and watch the DIFFA Jacket Runway Show with some of the other volunteers.

The girls are fascinated with all the elaborate costumes and jackets in the show.

We manage to corral Byron James of Channel 4 NEWS to stop and talk to all the titleholders and pose for a picture with them.

Cassidy gets her turn to discuss a few things with Byron.

After the DIFFA Show is over, Bobbie brings all the girls into a holding room to give all of them their gift for volunteering tonight.

Jim steps out from behind the camera for a quick picture with all the titleholders and one of the other volunteers.

As the other volunteers head into the party for all those that volunteered tonight, the titleholders get a quick picture with Ron and Keith before heading out to their cars.

While I was walking the girls out to the lobby, Corin was stopped by an “admirer” and wanted to talk to her about Miss Texas.

The conversation got more interesting when he wanted to try one of the girl’s crowns on and have his pictures made with Corin. Everything turned out OK and we all headed for home after a long evening.
