On Saturday night, after the Miracle Dallas fund
raiser, we all head over to the “Bates Barn,” Dan,
Shelli, and Faith’s home in Fort Worth for a
wonderful pre-New Year’s Eve party. And who should
be cookin’ up something SPECIAL? Why it’s “Dan-Dan
the Smokin’ Man,” Faith’s Dad. Dan spent most of the
day preparing roast elk, venison sausage, roast
venison, and roast chicken while Shelli ad Faith had
plenty of other delicious fixin’s all over the
dining room table and in the kitchen. It was a
“Feast Fit for Kings and Queens and Princesses”. |

Faith open her Christmas gift from Jim & Sherry and it’s
a Christmas towel with “Faith” embroidered across the
bottom of the towel. Merry Christmas Angel… |

|
Three of my favorite people at the party tonight, Lana’s
Mom, Sandra, my lovely wife, Sherry, and Faith’s Mom,
Shelli. Lookin’ GOOD ladies… |

Greg Solomon just had to have his pictures made with
Allison Church, Alicia Yust and Kaitlyn Wilson.

Lots of good food, good friends, pictures, and of
course FOOTBALL… Between the food, drink and
merriment we watched the New England Patriots defeat
the New York Giants for a perfect 16-0 season and
also watched the Alamo Bowl where Penn State beat
Texas A&M 24-17. Lots of channel switching to keep
up with these two games. |

We finally get all of our “visiting titleholders”
together for a group picture by the Christmas tree.

There’s nothing like a warm fire, a comfortable chair,
lots of friends and good conversation to make a
house a home. |

Oh… And we can’t forget lots of laughter too. |

|
Meanwhile, over on the sofa, Greg and Kaitlyn and
engaged in a serious debate. |
 |
|
But, as always, it’s not as serious as it looks and
all is well as everything turns to fun and laughter. |
 |
|
And back over by the fireplace it looks like everybody
is still having a GREAT time with some GREAT
stories. |

It’s time for our 2nd “annual” New Year’s Eve group
picture at the “Bates Barn”. Looks like the group
had a GREAT time tonight. HAPPY NEW YEAR
EVERYBODY!!! |
