Sydney the new Miss Teen Duncanville 2008 arrived in
Austin at the Driskill Hotel on the evening of
Tuesday, November 6 near the closing of the polls in
hopes that the Texas Constitutional Amendment for
Proposition 15 would pass so Texas would be
established as the global leader in cancer research,
prevention, early detection and control. |

While Sydney and the Girls4Life wait in the holding room
at the hotel to find out the election results on Tuesday
evening, they are interviewed by a local Austin TV
station.

Elle talks to the TV reporter about the Girls4Life group
and hopes that Proposition 15 will pass tonight. |
 |
|
All of the young ladies are really excited to talk to
the reporter about Proposition 15 and what it will
do for cancer research in Texas. |
 |
|
Sydney, Elle, Savannah, and Madison are counting down
for the big announcement for the passage of the
Texas Constitutional Amendment.

|
And the cheers go up as the BIG announcement is made
that Proposition 15 was passed by over 60% of the
voters. |
 |

Lance Armstrong finally comes into the room to make
his speech for TV. |

Madison, Sydney, Elle, and Savannah all get a ”Front
Row Seat” right behind Lance as he starts his speech
that is broadcast all over the state. |

Madison and Sydney with Texas Senator Jane Nelson of
District 12 during the victory party at the Driskill
Hotel in Austin. Senator Nelson worked tirelessly to
push support for the passage of Proposition 15 in
Texas. Looks like all of her hard work along with
many other people paid off for everybody. |
